I am a Computer Science researcher and project leader at the University of Göttingen — Computer Science Department and Göttingen State and University Library, Germany — working in the GippLab. My research is focused on natural language processing (NLP) and artificial intelligence (AI).

I obtained my Habilitation at the University of Göttingen, a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Michigan - Dearborn, a master's in Information Engineering at the Federal University of ABC (Brazil), and a Bachelor's in Computer Science and Science & Technology at the Federal University of ABC. I also worked as a Ph.D. intern at the National Institute of Informatics (Japan) at the Aizawa Laboratory. In the industry, I worked at IBM Brazil for six years in several roles — software product manager, team leader, and IT specialist. My research interests lie at the intersection of natural language processing (NLP) and artificial intelligence (AI), with a particular focus on how AI usage influences and impacts human communication.

I have published numerous papers in top-tier NLP and AI venues. My collaborators reach across Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, India, Japan, and beyond. I am also an enthusiastic speaker and have given talks on NLP and AI worldwide. When not working, I am always looking for new places to eat, travel, recipes to try, and good coffee.
